MEMPHIS-The old Mall of Memphis site will be turned into an industrial park. The Memphis City Council has given permission to South Carolina-based Johnson Development Associates Inc. to redevelop the 113-acre property.

The Commercial Appeal reported that Johnson Development Associates will redevelop the site, located at Perkins and I-240, into an industrial park. The development application submitted to the Memphis-Shelby County Land Use Control Board showed that Johnson Development plans to develop three industrial buildings totaling nearly 1 million square feet in Memphis.
