
NEWTON, MA-WS Development has started the first phase of a remodeling to the Chestnut Hill Shopping Center in Newton. The company has initiated demolition of the former Macy's building.
The old 120,000-square-foot structure will be replaced with a new 115,000-square-foot building, which will include a 40,000-square-foot restaurant and a new six-screen cinema complex of National Amusements as well as a 31,000-square-foot Sports Club/LA complex.
