FOSTER CITY, CA-The Mercury News reported that the City Council of Foster City has affirmed the sale of a 15-acre property for $30 million to a team of developers. The New Home Co., which is leading the development team of Foster City Community Partners, said that the construction work could start next year.

The developers are preparing to build a senior housing complex that will comprise 138 independent- and assisted-living units, 66 affordable apartments, 200 town houses and condominiums and a retail space. For the full story, go to San Francisco Business Times .
