MILWAUKEE-Two bidders have come out to take control of the Staybridge Suites hotel building in downtown Milwaukee. The failed and uncompleted 14-story hotel building situation on North Water Street will be auctioned at the Milwaukee Athletic Club on May 8.
An investment firm based in New York City that owns most of the remaining mortgage in the hotel building is one likely bidder and Milwaukee-based Wave Development LLC, in association with affiliates of the Icelandic group that ventured in the project, is another bidder.
