BENTON HARBOR, MI-Whirlpool, a home appliance maker, will officially open its new office campus in Michigan's Benton Harbor. The $70-million development is part of the company's larger plan to combine 15 facilities into three unified office campuses.
The 11.9-acre office campus is modeled to help the appliance maker retain jobs while turning a site that contained vacant stores in the southwestern community of Michigan. Whirlpool's Jeff Fettig and James Hightower, Mayor of Benton Harbor, will speak at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. For the full story, go to The Detroit Free Press .
