CHICAGO-An investor group headed by John Murphy of MB Real Estate Services LLC has purchased a 22-story office tower at 100 W. Monroe St. for about $12.5 million. Murphy's venture acquired the 131,000-square-foot property from Thomas Horwich of Rubloff Residential Properties.
Horwich owned the building for several decades. The office building, constructed in 1927, is currently 97% leased. The venture financed the purchase with an approximately $9-million loan, which was provided by First Midwest Bank. For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business .
