FRANKLIN, TN-A real estate investment trust based in California has completed the acquisition of the McEwen Building, a 175,000-square-foot property in Cool Springs. KBS Real Estate Investment Trust has bought the office building from Amstar for $40 million.

The McEwen Building is currently 97% leased to tenants such as Mars Petcare, Raymond James and Renal Advantage. Cushman & Wakefield/Cornerstone Commercial Real Estate Services' Don Albright represented the seller, while the REIT represented itself in the deal.
