SACRAMENTO-The Sacramento City Council will consider a proposal to loan nearly $4.8 million for the Township 9 housing project on North 7th Street. The residential mixed-use project in the old River District redevelopment area on the north side of Richards Boulevard will comprise 2,350 housing units and a retail space on the ground floor.

The five-story building will come up on a 1.83-acre site. The loan will include $3 million in tax increment funding and $1.8 million from the Sacramento's Home Investment Partnership Program. For the full story, go to Sacramento Business Journal .
