PHOENIX-The Gila River Indian Community has selected Perini Building Company Inc. to build a new resort hotel and casino at Vee Quiva Casino in Laveen. Perini received final approval from the Gila River tribal council to construct a 100-room hotel and 175,000-square-foot casino off 51st Avenue on the south side of Baseline Road.

The cost of the hotel and casino project is estimated reach at about $100 million. The project is expected to be opened in fall 2013. For the full story, go to Phoenix Business Journal .
