DETROIT-For the second time in a week, Detroit will break ground on a new retail project. The Gateway Marketplace shopping center will be built near Woodward and 8 Mile.

A Meijer Supercenter, a K&G Fashion Superstore and a Marshalls department store will anchor the 350,000-square-foot retail center. This will be Meijer's first store in the city. The groundbreaking of the Gateway center follows the Whole Foods grocery store that is expected to be opened in early 2013. For the full story, go to The Detroit Free Press .
