CICERO, IL-Tinley Park-based Mack Cos. has purchased a former shoe factory on South Central Avenue in Cicero with plans to convert it into 21 apartments. The developer purchased the four-story facility at 2300 S. Central Ave. as well as two homes and four adjacent lots from Evansville, Indiana-based Old National Bancorp.
Mack bought the South Central Avenue property for $1.2 million. A previous developer planned to convert the factory into condos and build two homes nearby, but the plan failed. For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business .
