MIAMI—Another industrial building is officially 100% occupied. Sunshine Bouquet, a fresh cut flowers supplier, just took down the last 95,000 square feet of warehouse distribution space in a long-term lease at Miami International Distribution Center.

Transwestern senior vice president Thomas Kresse, along with managing directors
Walter Byrd and Ben Eisenberg brokered the lease on behalf of the landlord, DCT Industrial. Sunshine Bouqet also has locations in Bogota, New Jersey, and North Carolina.

“We have seen a robust interest in Airport West/Doral, which is a direct correlation to the positive attributes of the area and a healthy indication some industry sectors are rebounding,” Kresse tells GlobeSt.com. “Of the close to 1,000 industrial buildings in the area, 80 percent are currently at full occupancy.”

Miami International Distribution Center is located just west of Miami International Airport at 2003 NW 70th Avenue in Miami. The asset spans 215,000 square feet and is the seventh property Transwestern’s Miami industrial team has marketed to 100% occupancy in the past year.

“The increased demand for class A distribution space has reduced supply to a point where the market is experiencing an uptick in lease rates as well as pricing,” Kresse says. “The recent sale of a three building portfolio within International Corporate Park as well as the sale of Doral@25th are evidence of increasing demand and value.”
