WALNUT CREEK, CA-The Contra Costa Times reported that city leaders have approved a multifamily project in Walnut Creek for a second time. The newspaper stated that former Longs Drugs' headquarters site will be turned into a 300-unit apartment project.

Urban Housing Group pulled the previously approved project after the Carpenters Local 152 requested it with the City Council. The developer reapplied this year with an environmental impact report.
