TAMPA, FL-Austin-based American Campus Communities Inc. has acquired two properties in South Florida. The company bought the 745-bed Avalon Heights for $30 million.
American Campus is planning to spend $2.1 million to upgrade the student housing property. Additionally, the company bought a tract from Florida State University in Tallahassee with plans to develop a $21.1-million project, named 601 Copeland.
