WASHINGTON, DC-Brookfield Office Properties Inc. has paid $106 million for 799 9th St. NW. The 10-story, 201,464-square-foot Class A office building was sold by AEW Capital Management LP.
Brookfield is funding the purchase through $71.5 million in property-level financing and with available cash. The purchase price worked out to roughly $522 per square foot. The building, constructed in 2001, is currently 96% leased. AEW Capital Management bought the LEED Gold-certified building in 2006 for $127.5 million.
