NEW YORK CITY-In another vote of support for Lower Manhattan, the City of New York has signed a long-term renewal lease for 207,812 square feet inside Jack Resnick & Sons’ 14-story Downtown office tower, 75 Park Place, GlobeSt.com has confirmed.
Under the terms of the deal, three city agencies, including the Office of Management and Budget, the Office of Actuary and the Department of Information, Technology and Telecommunications, will stay put on floors 6 through 9 for a 15-year term, according to a spokesperson for the ownership.
Jonathan D. Resnick, president of Jack Resnick & Sons, says the agencies have been headquartered in the 625,000-square-foot building since 1990. Other tenants here include RR Donnelley and Sons, Tradition North America and the Borough of Manhattan Community College. Asking rents were in the mid-$40s per square foot.
Dennis P. Brady, executive managing director and Brett S. Greenberg, managing director of leasing for Jack Resnick & Sons, represented the building owner in the lease renewal.
Jack Resnick & Sons -- known for its strong foothold in Lower Manhattan -- owns and manages three million square feet of commercial office and retail space, including 199 Water Street / One Seaport Plaza, a 35 story, 1.1 million square foot building located at the South Street Seaport.
