NEW YORK CITY-McDonald's will open a new Starbucks-like design concept on West 125th Street. The fast-food chain will occupy 2,500 square feet of space on the ground floor at 148 W. 125th St.

The Jackson Group bought the former Verizon office building on West 125th Street in October 2010 and started renovating the property into an office and retail building. The McDonald's deal also includes a 1,500-square-foot basement. McDonald's was represented by HSRE Real Estate's Harold Sherr, while Jonathan Nachmani represented the landlord in-house.
