OAK BROOK, IL-Inland Real Estate Corp. signed 98,735 square feet of leases among six retail properties throughout Illinois and Minnesota. The REIT has added national retailers such as Hobby Lobby, Michaels and Party City to these centers, with openings scheduled for late 2012.
In the largest of the leases, Hobby Lobby took down 46,984 square feet at the Hawthorn Village Commons shopping center at 220 Townline Rd. in Vernon Hills, IL.
“The addition of Hobby Lobby brings a national tenant to the local community and helps create a well-balanced mix of specialty, local and national retailers at the Hawthorn Village Commons shopping center,” said Mike Fitzgerald, Inland's director of leasing, in a press release. Other tenants at the center include Dollar Tree, Pearle Vision and El Famous Burrito.
Additional commercial real estate deals Inland signed are:
- Michaels, which leased 16,480 square feet at Quarry Retail, positioned at the intersection of Stinson and Interstate 35W in Minneapolis.
- Party City, which leased 12,039 square feet at Schaumburg Plaza, situated at the intersection of Barrington and Weathersfield Roads in Schaumburg, IL.
- Pier 1 Imports, which leased11,400 square feet at Two Rivers Plaza, at the intersection of Weber and Boughton Roads in Bolingbrook, IL.
- Dollar Tree, which took down 8,916 square feet at Edinburgh Festival Center in Brooklyn Park, MN.
- Noodles & Company, which signed a deal for a 2,916-square-foot restaurant space at Bradley Commons on SH 50 in Bourbonnais, IL.
