HOUSTON-American Liberty Hospitality of Houston and its investment partner, Gentry Mills Capital of Dallas, have acquired Alden Houston, a boutique downtown hotel, from New York-based Northwood Investors. Details of the deal were not revealed. The 97-room hotel, built in 1924, is situated at 1117 Prairie.

Spire Realty Group LP purchased the hotel in 2000 and the property became part of Alden Hotels in 2005, and in 2010 it came into the hands of Northwood Investors. For the full story, go to Houston Business Journal .
