NEW YORK CITY-Smith Electric Vehicles Corp. wills start assembling electric trucks in a new facility in the Port Morris neighborhood of the Bronx by the end of the year. The Kansas City, Missouri-based company signed a 10-year lease in August for a 90,000-square-foot facility at 275-295 Locust Ave.

The property will be refurbished and equipped as a service, manufacturing and distribution facility. Smith Electric is expecting to spend approximately $2.2 million on the building. For the full story, go to Crain's New York Business .
