GAITHERSBURG, MD-The Gazette reported that the Montgomery County Planning Board has approved a preliminary plan to transform a county government services building into a mixed-use project featuring residential, office and retail space. Bethesda-based EYA's proposed plans call for 131,422 square feet of office space, 2,210 residential units and 41,828 square feet of retail space on two parcels.
The White Flint sector plan approved in 2010 will allow up to 12.9 million square feet of retail and office space and 14,500 housing units. For the full story, go to Washington Business Journal .
