LOS ANGELES-The University of California Board of Regents will likely approve UCLA's controversial plan for a 250-room hotel with conference center. The regents are expected to vote on the Luskin Conference and Guest Center in an afternoon session.

The project is estimated to cost more than $162 million. It is named after Renee and Meyer Luskin, who have contributed $50 million toward the building. Construction is expected to start next September and the facility will be finished by June 2016. For the full story, go to Los Angeles Business Journal .
