DEMING, NM-Construction has started on the Sierra Vista apartment complex at 878 N. Iron Street in Deming. A news release revealed that the $5.4-million project will accommodate low income families as well as seniors and persons with disabilities.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture provided a $1,000,000 loan through rural development's multifamily housing program and the New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority provided $4.4 million in tax credits to fund the construction work. For the full story, go to New Mexico Business Weekly .
