WASHINGTON, DC-Donald and Ivanka Trump of the Trump Hotel Collection have chosen local firm Streetsense to manage the retail at the luxury hotel they are planning to build at the Old Post Office Pavilion. The Washington Post broke the news Monday and GlobeSt.com confirmed it with Streetsense broker Jeff Pollak this morning.
The mix of retail has not been determined yet, nor the final square footage or asking rates, he says, adding that, “We're a few months away from a final program.” Trump announced its selection by the General Services Administration for the Old Post Office Pavilion project this February. The initial plans provide little insight into the type of retail that will be situated at the hotel, although one can assume it will be high-end. Plans for the hotel include more than 250 expansive guest rooms, penthouses and presidential suites, restaurants and meeting facilities gardens.
