MILWAUKEE-A mortgage investment fund has become the new owner of a vacant office building in downtown Milwaukee. One of developer Joel Lee's companies has bought the four-story structure at 408 E. Wells St. in a foreclosure sale.
The 49,000-square-foot office building, originally built for AT&T, was valued at $1.2 million. County real estate records showed that the building has come under the ownership of an affiliate company to a nationwide mortgage investment fund formed in 2001.
