CHICAGO-Related Midwest has restarted a long-stalled downtown Chicago tower on the south bank of the Chicago River. The developer's plans for the building, located at 111 W. Wacker Drive, call for a 60-story, 950,000-square-foot LEED Silver building with 504 apartments, street-level retail space and restaurant and 470 parking spaces. Construction is expected to be completed in spring 2014.
Related Real Estate Recovery Fund bought the property in 2011 from Waterview LLC, which originally planned to build a 90-story tower on the site. For the full story, go to Commercial Property Executive .
