FREMONT, CA-A U.S. Bankruptcy Court has approved the $90.2-million sale of Solyndra's solar panel factory in Fremont to Seagate Technology. The factory is located at 47488 Kato Road along Interstate 880. Solyndra closed the factory when a $535-million loan guarantee by the U.S. Department of Energy fell into controversy.

The purchase price, agreed by Seagate, is 70% below the $300-million construction cost of the building. The bankruptcy court hired Jones Lang LaSalle to market the 412,000-square-foot complex. For the full story, go to Oakland Tribune .
