WALTHAM, MA-RLJ Lodging Trust has bought Embassy Suites, a 275-room hotel in Waltham, Massachusetts, for $64.5 million. The REIT paid $235,000 per room for the hotel, which completed a $12-million brand conversion last year. The hotel brand was changed to an Embassy Suites from a DoubleTree Guest Suites.
The rooms and the public areas in the hotel were also upgraded during the brand conversion. RLJ Lodging Trust now owns 145 hotels in the District of Columbia and 21 states. For the full story, go to Boston Business Journal .
