CHICAGO-Health Care REIT Inc., based in Ohio, has purchased Lake Barrington Woods, a 192-unit senior housing complex in Lake Barrington, from a joint venture between Walton Street Capital LLC and Senior Lifestyle Corp. The REIT paid $81.7 million for the senior housing development at 22320 Classic Court.
The complex comprises assisted and independent living units for seniors and is 96% leased. It is one of 19 assets that Health Care REIT purchased in a $459-million sale/leaseback deal with Senior Lifestyle. For the full story, go to Commercial Property Executive .
