CHICAGO–In the Chicago suburbs of Wheaton and Glen Ellyn, plans are in the works for a new multi-million dollar clubhouse, and a six-story apartment complex.

Golfers at the Glen Ellyn Village Links golf-course can expect a new banquet facility, new parking, as well as upgrades to its existing clubhouse. Work on the $6.2-million project began last year and is expected to be completed by June of this year.

Wheaton 121, a new luxury apartment complex is expected to open soon across from the Wheaton Library. The property will include a swimming pool and a video theater and is being developed by Morningside Group.

Retailers expected to open locations soon include Mariano's Fresh Market at the former Hubble Middle School and Wheaton Central High School and the Fresh Market grocery store at the former Packey Webb Dodge dealership in Glen Ellyn. See story in the Chicago Tribune.
