BURLINGTON, NJ-The private housing community at the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst will get 40% of its annual energy from solar panels that will be installed there.
United Communities, the owner of the 2,104-unit development that was completed last June, estimated that the solar panels, once installed, would generate 13.7 million kilowatts of electricity. New York-based True Green Capital Management and CIT Group Inc. reported the closing of $35 million in financing for the 12.3-megawatt solar rooftop system in a joint news release, according to a report at phillyburbs.com.
The solar project, being built by Trinity Solar in Wall, Monmouth County, is expected to be finished last this year. See story in phillyburbs.com.
