CHICAGO - Peppercorn Capital LLC recently purchased the Trainor Glass Co. showroom located on the corner of Lake Street and Sangamon and leased it to a Chicago-based design firm. Details of the transaction were not released.
Peppercorn Capital closed on the lease that includes three separate 5,000-square-foot-buildings at 939 W. Lake St. at for tenant Minimal. The design company is moving from its current location at 1032 W. Fulton Market and wants to showcase its designs in the property's corner showroom.
Tenant representation firm Howard Ecker + Co. was pivotal in helping secure Minimal as a tenant.

The building at 939 W. Lake St. is over 80 years old and was originally converted from a garage building into a distribution center during the height of Chicago's meat packing industry.
Trainor Glass Co. converted the facility into a showroom. The property has bow-truss roof buildings and all the buildings are connected with a showroom featured on the corner of the property.
Minimal is a design company founded by Scott Wilson, who leads a team of designers who create brand-building products and experiences.
Peppercorn Capital is a Chicago-based commercial real estate development company focuses on development projects in the West Loop neighborhood.
