DALLAS-Harwood International is preparing to launch its next development; District 1444, a 224-unit multifamily property and 46,000 square feet of retail space. The local developer will break ground on the project this spring.
The project will be built in the Dallas Design District, at the southeast corner of Dragon Street and Oak Lawn Avenue. According to a press release detailing the District 1444, multifamily units will be set above restaurants, showrooms and cafes. Amenities include a pool deck lounge, a fitness center, game room, fire pits and gardens.
District 1444 is designed by Harwood Design Factory LLC. The full-service architectural design team includes Laura Lleal, vice president, director of construction & design, and Ben Cortez, architect.
“We want to bring the same amenities to the Design District that are available in HARWOOD, Oak Lawn, State Thomas and West Village,” comments Alexis Barbier-Mueller, director, Harwood International, in the press release. “Its unique feel and convenient location will deliver a much needed space and amenities for the residents and visitors of the urbanized Design District.” Harwood International Director of Leasing and Vice President Jihane A. Boury adds that three of the five restaurant spaces in the project have been preleased.
