NEW YORK CITY-Already doing the honors for the Empire State Building and One Grand Central Place, a Newmark Grubb Knight Frank team has been tapped for further leasing responsibilities within the W&H Properties office portfolio. NGKF's William Cohen, EVP and principal, and Ryan Kass, senior managing director, are taking over leasing at W&H's 1333, 1350 and 1359 Broadway, according to a release from Malkin Holdings LLC, which supervises the W&H portfolio of nine prewar buildings.
“Billy and Ryan have had great success at the Empire State Building and One Grand Central Place,” says Anthony Malkin, president of Malkin Holdings, in a release. “They understand our vision for these prewar trophy properties, and they have helped make this vision a reality through aggressive, strategic leasing efforts that attract top brokers and their tenants.” He adds that while “we already have strong leasing traction” at the three Broadway properties, which total about 1.2 million square feet, the NGKF “can take it to the next level.”
Along with Cohen and Kass, the NGKF team at the three Broadway buildings includes Neil Rubin and Andrew Weisz, the latter a recent NGKF hire from Cushman & Wakefield. Cohen, a 33-year commercial brokerage veteran, has served as an agent for more than 25 million feet of commercial space.
It's not clear what the near-term tenant rollover at the properties will be. Currently, there are no availabilities at the 364,716-square-foot 1333 Broadway, according to the W&H website. At the 400,121-square-foot 1350 Broadway, about 50,000 square feet is available, while at 1359 Broadway, largest of the three at 476,403 square feet, there's about 170,000 square feet, including a block of 91,000 contiguous square feet over four floors.
