SAVANNAH, GA-Arizona Chemical, which already has a major presence here, will be building a new Science & Technology Center on its campus near the Hudson Hill section of the city.

The Jacksonville, FL-based bio-refining firm, will break ground on the 27,000-sf project in March, according to the Savannah Morning News, with construction expected to be completed by December.

“An expansion of our manufacturing facilities here will be going active in a month or two, making us the largest of our nine manufacturing sites, as well as the largest of our three science and technology centers,” says Paul Williams, director of science and technology for Arizona Chemical in Savannah.

The firm announced that manufacturing expansion in 2011. The project will include the addition of a new reactor and finishing line at the Savannah plant. See story in the Savannah Morning News.
