WASHINGTON, DC-Hilton Worldwide is said to be in talks with the developer of the CityCenterDC project to build a Conrad hotel there.
Hilton and the developer, led by Hines, are in negotiations to build a 370-room Conrad hotel at the downtown site, sources tell the Washington Post.
Conrad Hotels & Resorts is Hilton's contemporary luxury brand that boasts mostly international locations. Conrad has opened four US locations in New York, Chicago, Miami and Indianapolis.
The first phase of CityCenter is currently under construction and will include offices, condominiums and apartments. Hilton and Hines declined comment on the story. See story in the Washington Post.
