NEW YORK CITY-Restaurateur Peter Poulakakos has signed a contract to run the marketplace at the World Financial Center.
Poulakakos, the operator of the Financier Patisserie coffee chain, Harry's Cafe and Steak, Ulysses and Bayard's, signed the contract to operate the 30,000-square-foot WFC marketplace, according to the New York Post.
“We signed the deal. We remain very committed to lower Manhattan,” Poulakakos says, adding that it is still too early to discuss details of the project.
Brookfield Properties, the owner of the 8 million-square-foot complex, says the yet-to-be-named market will total 23,000 square feet of indoor space and 7,000 square feet outside when it opens in mid-2014. See story in the New York Post.
