DANIA BEACH, FL-The owner of the Dania Jai-Alai building says the sports facility will be sold in the next few months for $65.5 million.
Boyd Gaming says that it is selling the property to Dania Entertainment and that the deal could close by May 24, according to the Sun Sentinel.
The parties in the transaction had sales talks back in 2011 but Boyd terminated an $80-million transaction after it charged that Dania Entertainment failed to meet a payment deadline. In the past few years, attendance at Dania Jai-Alai has dwindled due to the advent of other gaming facilities in the area such as the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino.
