NEW YORK CITY-RFR Realty has put the low-rise mixed-use 980 Madison Ave. building on the market for sale.
The 100,000-square-foot property that spans an entire city block from East 76th to East 77th St., features both office and retail space. Among its tenants include the Gagosian Gallery.
CBRE Group Inc. investment sales brokers Darcy Stacom and William Shanahan are handling the property's disposition for RFR. A few brokers tell Crain's New York Business that the property could trade for as much as $400 million if the buyer is confident a successful residential addition could pass muster with local residents and regulatory agencies. See story in Crain's New York Business.
