MIAMI—Continental Real Estate Companies (CREC) hit a landslide. CREC just won the exclusive rep deals on eight South Florida shopping centers.
The shopping centers include: El Mercado, Clewiston Town Center; Polo Grounds, #1 Marketplace; The Shops of Bird Road; Tropical Plaza; Gables Grand Plaza; and Red Road Commons. The firm will also spearhead property management at the El Mercado and Clewiston Town Center properties, which account for 215,724 square feet of space. The new assignments expand CREC's retail leasing and property management portfolio by a total of 629,060 square feet.
CREC vice presidents Carlos Guzman and Steven Henenfeld, along with senior leasing associates Mitchell Boxer and Ruben Suarez, will handle the new assignments. Carol Brooks, president and co-founder of CREC, is convinced her firm's “investments in developing CREC's market intelligence helped secure these shopping center assignments and its full-service approach to leasing and management will build additional value for each asset.
“These properties all benefit from strong ownership teams and high visibility locations,” says Guzman. “Our team will focus on enhancing each asset's tenant mix with local and national retailers. CREC's retail leasing portfolio offers ample opportunities for retailers across the US looking to Florida as a viable market to enter and expand within.”
