WASHINGTON, DC-Montgomery County government has decided not to submit an entry to the General Services Administration as a possible site for a new headquarters for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Instead, Montgomery County now supports Prince George's County's bid to lure the agency to a site by the Greenbelt Metro station, according to Prince George's County Executive Rushern Baker. The county's decision to not enter the competition does not preclude private developers from Montgomery County to submit their own proposals, according to the Washington Business Journal.
The General Services Administration, reported last week that it received three-dozen responses to its request for information. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
