MIAMI-A partnership of The Related Group and sbe, a Los Angeles-based entertainment, hospitality and real estate firm, are planning to build a major condo-hotel project here.
The two firms report that construction could begin in the middle of this year on the SLS Brickell at 1300 S. Miami Ave. the project will feature 450 condo units and 13 hotel rooms. It will also offer more than 10,000 square feet of restaurants, lounges and bars. The project will be the first SLS branded residences and the second SLS hotel in Miami-Dade, according to the Miami Herald.
Philippe Starck, the designer of the South Beach SLS, will be in charge of the design on the SLS Brickell, which is expected to open in 2015. See story in the Miami Herald.
