PHILADELPHIA –The Philadelphia Planning Commission has scheduled hearings later this month on the six proposals for a second casino in the city.
Alan Greenberg, deputy mayor and head of the City Planning Commission, says the hearings are meant to serve as a "listening tour" to gauge public opinion in advance of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board's round of casino public hearings in April and May, according to the Inquirer.
The commission's open houses are set for March 26 in South Philadelphia, Lincoln Financial Field; March 27 in Center City, Center for Architecture; and on March 28 in Old City, Painted Bride Art Center. All sessions will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. See story in The Inquirer.
