CHICAGO-CMK Cos. has filed plans with the city for a 28-story, 307-unit apartment building at 1333 S Wabash.

CMK purchased a defaulted loan and took control of the site from the Piedmont Group Inc. and modified its previous proposed development plan, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The One Triple Three project is to be built at a site where construction had begun but was halted a few years ago when the recession took hold. Colin Kihnke, president of CMK Cos., says the project could be completed by late 2014. Details of the plan were contained in a zoning application submitted to the city.

The building, designed by Brininstool & Lynch Ltd., will include a 200-car parking garage and approximately 3,000 square feet for retail on the ground floor. See story in the Chicago Sun-Times.
