PHILADELPHIA-The Sneaker Villa chain has signed a more than 14,000-square-foot sublease for the former Walgreen's at 608 South St. here.
The Walgreen's property, which closed in early 2011, is near the center of the South Street retail restaurant district. Brent Barbehenn, vice president at Metro Commercial Realty, represented Walgreen's in the sublease deal, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Sneaker Villa, headquartered in Philadelphia, is a chain of more than 50 urban-inspired lifestyle footwear and apparel stores based in Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, and in upstate Pennsylvania and New York.
