CAMDEN, NJ-City officials announced on Tuesday that Shop Rite will anchor a planned 150,000-square-foot retail shopping center at the Admiral Wilson Boulevard and 17th Street.

The new supermarket, when opened, will be the first new full service in the city in three decades and only the second currently in operation in the city, according to the Inquirer.

The developer of the shopping center, Goldenberg Group of Blue Bell, PA, is beginning the permitting and land acquisition process with the city and the Delaware River Port Authority, which owns a portion of the 20 acres the project requires. Completion of the project is expected sometime in 2015. See story in the Inquirer.
