CORONA, CA-Talk about going big or going home. Construction is now underway on the new corporate headquarters for Monster Energy Co., and as those who follow @GlobeStcom on Twitter and @GlobeStLIVE may have seen, the action sports lifestyle is reinforced in every square inch of the new space—Before furniture and fixtures are installed, motocross racers were let loose on the empty floors to race through the interior and create skid marks on the concrete. Interior architecture firm, H. Hendy Associates plans a July 2013 scheduled completion for the six-story 140,000-square-foot building here. The building will facilitate 500 workstations and 175 private offices, “accommodating the company's growth for at least five years.”
Monster purchased the large commercial space in September 2012 and will be its first-ever occupant. GlobeSt.com was not able to get further information regarding the details of the purchase by deadline.
According to Sarah Thunstrom, facilities manager at Monster Energy Co., “Our new space will explode visually, with stunning design elements that spotlight our brand and provide an engaging space for our employees, athletes and musicians. At Monster, we live 'life on the edge,' backing athletes that make careers out of their passions.”
She points out that “H. Hendy Associates captured our extreme, unique lifestyle, and we are thrilled to see it brought to life in our new space.” H. Hendy Associates and Monster continue to collaborate closely as construction advances, infusing dynamic, innovative design elements in the new space.
A creative “test lab” will enable employees and athletes to test new beverage products. Abundant conference room seating on each floor and new amenities will make the new headquarters a sought-after destination for employees and sponsored athletes.
“It is a privilege to pair true creative freedom in interior architecture with achieving a brand's business objectives, and that is occurring with Monster,” says H. Hendy designer, Todd Shumaker. “As we create the space, we have to 'go big or go home' to realize exactly what the Monster brand offers its many fans and sponsored athletes.
