GENEVA, IL-Cadence Health is now developing a new cancer center on its campus, part of nearly $100 million in improvements planned at the Delnor Hospital here over the next three years.

The new cancer center, expected to open on Sept. 1, will expand radiation and oncology services, plus add research facilities, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The capital improvement projects make sure "(Delnor) is repositioned as a state-of-the-art facility,” says Delnor President Robert Friedberg.

The capital program was fueled by the 2011 partnership between Delnor Hospital and Central DuPage Hospital that resulted in the formation of Cadence Health. Cadence will over the next several months add care-center sites in Sugar Grove, North Aurora, Sycamore and Lisle to better serve the Tri-Cities region. See story in the Chicago Tribune.
