MIAMI—Now that the first phase building of the University of Miami Life Science & Technology Park (UMLSTP) is 75% occupied, the park needs more retail and restaurants. Subway is filling the bill with a first floor location spanning 1,400 square feet of retail space along northwest 7th Avenue.
“The University of Miami Life Science & Technology Park's central location and built-in tenant base, coupled with the Health District's large daily population, were key factors in our decision to open a new Subway location here,” says Subway franchisee Stuart Frankel.
The park is located at 1951 NW 7th Ave. It sits at the intersection of Interstate 95 and the 836 Expressway, minutes from downtown Miami, Brickell, Wynwood, and Midtown.
“The University of Miami Life Science & Technology Park has attracted a mix of high-quality, convenient restaurants offering a diverse range of dining options at affordable prices,” says Bill Hunter, regional leasing director for UMLSTP developer Wexford Science + Technology. “Subway, Thea Pizzeria and Café and Balans are serving as an amenity for the companies that call the park home and as a source of activity at street level.”
