ATLANTA-On April 1, the Atlanta Marriott Downtown hotel will officially be re-branded as the DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta Downtown.

The nine-story hotel, which will continue to be operated by Interstate Hotels & Resorts, will be the DoubleTree brand's first hotel in downtown Atlanta. Following the conversion, Hilton Worldwide officials state that it will begin a property-wide renovation that will conclude in the latter months of this year.

DoubleTree by Hilton has eight hotels in its portfolio in the Metro Atlanta area, including Atlanta Airport, Northlake, North Druid Hills–Emory Area, Buckhead, Galleria, Marietta, Roswell and Alpharetta.

“This transformation creates an opportunity for us to extend our hotel's commitment to outstanding personalized service—which dates back more than half a century,” says Mark Gallagher, general manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta Downtown.
